The exhibition unfolds within a broader artistic movement: a European-scale circulation of forms, gestures, and sensibilities. Here, painting and ceramics do not respond to each other as opposites, but emerge from a shared impulse.

In the work of Rémi Segalas, the horse becomes a manifestation. In the Fantôme series, it appears, dissolves, and glides across paper or canvas like a breath in motion. Neither fully figurative nor entirely abstract, the animal embodies a free, untamable energy, always balancing on the edge of disappearance.

The ceramic forms of Simon Holpert extend this momentum into space. Organic, tactile, sometimes meant to be held, they invite the body into a direct relationship with the material. Movement is not depicted here, but carried within—suggested, latent—activated through gaze or touch.
